AIMS & OBJECTIVES

The Namcolian Research Society (NRS) is the official academic research society of NSMC, established to foster a strong culture of research, scientific inquiry, and evidence-based learning among undergraduate medical students.

Founded in 2023, NRS aims to introduce medical students to the fundamentals of research methodology, critical thinking, and scholarly activity early in their academic journey. The society serves as a structured platform where students can explore research alongside their routine medical education, bridging the gap between theory and scientific practice.

Through a combination of workshops, interactive sessions, academic discussions, and mentorship, NRS encourages students to develop analytical skills, engage with medical literature, and actively participate in research-oriented learning. With the guidance of experienced faculty mentors and a dedicated student leadership team, the society strives to build research capacity, enhance critical appraisal skills, and prepare students for academic presentations and future research endeavors.
